  3. Download the SVG

What’s different about JPG

  • No transparency. A JPG always has a background, usually white. Remove background takes it out, so you don’t cut a rectangle around your design.
  • Compression specks. JPG saving leaves faint blotches around edges. Auto colors ignores most of them; raise Remove tiny pieces if a few are left.
  • Soft edges. If outlines look wobbly, raise Smooth edges. For small text, switch Detail to High.
  • JPG to SVG with color: Layered vinyl keeps each main color as its own layer. Full color keeps far more shades, which suits printing more than cutting.

Questions

Is the SVG a real vector or just my JPG inside an SVG?

A real vector. Every color area is traced into shapes, so it stays sharp at any size and a cutting machine can follow the edges. Some converters only wrap the JPG inside an SVG file, which a cutter can’t use.

Can I keep the colors of my JPG?

Yes. Layered vinyl keeps the main colors as separate layers, and you can change any layer’s color with its swatch. Full color keeps the shading as well.

Why is there a grey or white layer I didn’t expect?

Usually it’s a shadow or an uneven background in the photo. Raise Background tolerance, or untick that layer’s Show box to leave it out.

Is it free?

Yes. No sign-up and no watermark.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs on your own device inside this page, so your picture never leaves your browser.

Can I convert any picture?

Only convert images you made or have permission to use, especially if you sell what you make.
